    PPG AP team members address UN environment conference

    Harry Huang，PPG亞(ya) 太區（AP）環境、健康和安全高級項目經理，在中國上海聯合國環境規劃署（環境署）發表講話。

    PPG亞(ya) 太區小組成員在聯合國環境規劃署（環境署）與(yu) 同濟大學聯合在中國上海舉(ju) 辦的一次會(hui) 議上分享了該公司的可持續性倡議。
    Members of the PPG Asia Pacific (AP) team shared the company’s sustainability initiatives at a conference held by the United Nations Environmental Programme (UNEP) and Tongji University in Shanghai, China.
 
    這是PPG今年首次被邀請參加正在審議中的亞(ya) 太環境夥(huo) 伴關(guan) 係會(hui) 議，是邀請名單上唯一的參會(hui) 企業(ye) 。此類會(hui) 議的與(yu) 會(hui) 者通常是高校、環境研究所和政府合作中心，這些機構都有從(cong) 事於(yu) 區域/國家級環境政策宣傳(chuan) 工作方麵的專(zhuan) 家。
    PPG was invited to the Asia-Pacific Partnership for Environment Under Review Conference for the first time this year – and was the only enterprise on the invitation list. Participants typically are universities, environmental institutes and government cooperation centers, all of which have experts working on regional/country- level environmental policy advocacy.

    “PPG is very honored to share our practices on sustainable products and sustainability goals at this event,” said Harry Huang, Asia Pacific (AP) senior environment, health and safety (EHS) program manager. “These align closely with the UN sustainable development goals (SDGs).”

    Two of the PPG team members addressed the conference in a session titled Technology Innovations for Environmental Sustainability and Human Well-being:

    Huang介紹了PPG的企業(ye) 可持續發展目標、舉(ju) 措和成果。其核心信息是“我們(men) 圍繞可持續性所做的每一件事都要堅持不懈，持之以恒”。
    Huang presented PPG’s corporate sustainability goals, initiatives and achievements. His key message was “everything we do resolves aroundsustainability.”

    PPG亞(ya) 太區產(chan) 品管理計劃經理Kendra Cheng展示了PPG的可持續優(you) 勢產(chan) 品，並做出了無鉛承諾，突出該公司為(wei) 保護和美化世界所做出的努力。
    Kendra Cheng, AP product stewardship program manager, showcased PPG’s sustainable-advantaged products and lead-free commitment to highlight how the company protects and beautifies the world.

    環境署關(guan) 於(yu) 解決(jue) 亞(ya) 太區域空氣汙染問題最重要的其中一項議題與(yu) PPG的一項可持續性的關(guan) 鍵倡議有所關(guan) 聯，該倡議旨在推廣工業(ye) 生產(chan) 中低溶劑塗料的使用。
    One of UNEP’s top recommendations for addressing air pollution in the AP region is related to a key PPG sustainability initiative, introducing low-solvent paints for industrial applications.
 
    Cheng表示：“環境署和PPG都將此次會(hui) 議視為(wei) 熟悉彼此工作、尋求合作機會(hui) 的一種渠道。”
    “UNEP and PPG saw the conference as a way of becoming familiar with each other’s work and seeking opportunities for cooperation,” said Cheng.
 
    PPG亞(ya) 太區環境、健康和安全高級專(zhuan) 員Lillian Yao也出席了此次會(hui) 議。

    After the meeting, UN representatives met with Cathy Yan, general manager, corporate and government affairs, AP; and Richard Ren, director, EHS, AP, at PPG’s China headquarters. They agreed to explore further cooperation.
